Low Pressure Compact lamp

Compact lamps are available in a specially engineered two-tube linear innovative design, which allows a very uniform output. We provide all standard lamp sizes as well as custom configurations.

The high efficiency of a compact lamp is created by leaving a small dead space at the end of each of the two parallel tubes. Because this area is not part of the path followed by the discharge (farther away from the center of the discharge column) the wall temperature is lower than anywhere else creating a dedicated mercury cold spot.

What is UV Air Sterilization?

Germicidal UVC technology provides a cost-effective and efficient method to disinfect and sterilize the air with no byproducts and no hazardous waste. UV radiation emitted in the UVC wavelength, specifically at 254 nm, is proven to have the most powerful germicidal effects. UVC radiation is effective at eliminating the threat from bacteria, viruses, mold spores, dust mites, fungi, and harmful airborne microorganisms in UV air sterilization systems.

UVC ozone lamps are designed to emit wavelengths closer to 185 nm, which are useful in many types of UV air treatment systems. Ozone is a proven oxidizer which offers some advantages as ozone can be carried through the air to disinfect areas that direct UV radiation cannot reach. UVC ozone lamps remove foul odors from the air as well as eliminating volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as ammonia, mercaptans and sulfides.

UVC germicidal lamps eliminate airborne viruses and bacteria by penetrating the DNA of these harmful microorganisms and rendering them unable to replicate. When these cells can no longer reproduce, they are considered harmless with the threat of infection eliminated.
