Use And Maintenance Of UV Lamps

With the promotion of emerging UV coatings, inks and other photopolymer materials and UV radiation light sources, UV high-pressure mercury lamps are more and more widely used in printing, coating and other industries. However, due to the operator's lack of understanding of this technology, many problems have occurred in use. As a manufacturer of UV light sources, we hereby inform the following precautions:

1. The ultraviolet lamp can only be used when it is matched with the ballast, magnetic flux leakage transformer and capacitor.

2. It must be installed according to the wiring diagram provided by the manufacturer.

3. The lamp box installed with the lamp tube must be equipped with a good air cooling system to ensure the heat dissipation of the lamp tube and prevent the substrate from being heated and deformed.

4. Before the tube is put on the machine, the handprint, oil stain and other impurities on the outer wall of the lamp tube must be wiped with gauze stained with alcohol, otherwise the lamp tube will be impermeable after ignition. If the UV curing material has a high content of volatile solvent or the working environment has dust pollution, please wipe the lamp tube with alcohol every other week to ensure that the lamp tube will not be impermeable too early.

5. During the whole use process, good contact shall be maintained between the lamp cap and the contact point of the lamp, otherwise the lamp cap will be seriously oxidized and the sealing joint of the lamp tube will burst.

6. The UV lamp must be cooled before it can be started. When starting again, wait until the UV lamp is completely cooled before starting. After 5 minutes, the more frequent the switching times, the shorter the lamp life.

7. The average service life of the high-pressure mercury lamp in Xinguang electric light source factory is 00-1000 hours, and the surface temperature of the lamp tube during normal operation is 600 ~ 700 ℃. It is mainly related to the number of lamp starts.

8. It is strictly prohibited for the lamp tube and transformer to work under overload, so as to avoid lamp tube explosion or transformer burning accident. The power supply voltage fluctuation shall not be too large. If it suddenly decreases by more than 5%, it may extinguish itself. The burst of the lamp tube caused by the burning of the lamp cap is not the internal quality of the lamp tube. It is purely due to improper use and will not be returned.

9. The transformer must have good natural ventilation conditions for heat dissipation.
